Prep Highlights: Skyview, Heritage, Fort Vancouver all post key league wins in boys soccer

Skyview, Heritage and Fort Vancouver all came up with pivotal one-goal victories in league boys soccer matches on Wednesday night.

Leif Evenson scored two goals and Toren Baker added the clincher in the second half as Skyview beat Camas 4-3 to improve to 2-0-0 in the 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Elliot Maldonado scored two goals, including the game-winning golden goal in the second overtime period as Heritage stayed unbeaten in the 3A GSHL with a 2-1 over Mountain View.

Aldo Herrera assisted on Maldonado's first goal, then Omar Ramirez got the assist on the game-winner in overtime as the Timberwolves improved to 5-0-0 in league play.

Cristian Peralta had two goals and one assist as Fort Vancouver beat Columbia-White Salmon 3-2.

The victory helped La Center (9-1-2, 29 points) move into first place in the Trico League, just ahead of Fort and Columbia (both 9-2-0, 27 points).

After leading 2-0 at halftime, Fort needed a goal from Jorge Peralta in the second half to beat the Bruins.

Hardy Kasangana, Prairie boys soccer, scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Kelso.

Gavin Sellers, Columbia River boys soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Woodland.

Xavier Ayala, Hockinson boys soccer, had four goals in a 5-1 win over Washougal.

Ethan Sigman, Ridgefield boys soccer, had two goals and one assist in a 5-0 win over Mark Morris.

Ethan Wilson, La Center boys soccer, scored three goals in a 9-0 win over Kalama.

Colin Hermes, King's Way Christian boys soccer, scored two goals in a 5-0 win over Toledo/Winlock.

James Gill III, Battle Ground baseball, had 11 strikeouts while allowing one hit and two walks over 5 1/3 innings in an 8-1 win over Skyview.

Bryce Collins, Kelso baseball, pitched a complete-game three-hitter, striking out 10 and walking none in a 4-0 win over Mountain View. He also went 3 for 4 with a double as the Hilanders increased their lead atop the 3A GSHL to two games over the Thunder.

Henry Wikstrom, Ridgefield baseball, went 2 for 3 with three RBI and two stolen bases in a 9-3 win over R.A. Long.

Luke Jenisch, Columbia River baseball, had eight strikeouts over seven innings, allowing four hits and one walk in a 7-0 win over Hudson's Bay.

Jayden Vazquez, Washougal baseball, went 3 for 3 with two runs scored in a 7-3 win over Mark Morris.

Madeline Bruguier, Ridgefield softball, went 4 for 4 with two RBI and four runs scored in a 22-3 win over Washougal.

Evangeline Fulton, Ridgefield girls golf, won the 2A GSHL Invite at Heron Lakes Golf Course by six strokes, shooting a 5-over-par 77.
