All it took was an error and some quality base running by Waylen Huguenin that gave the Vikings a 1-0 triumph over the Loggers on Monday afternoon in a C2BL thriller. It's the first win overall and in the league for Mossyrock.

In a game that was a true pitcher's duel, Huguenin started the top of the seventh with a walk and got to second on an error. Back-to-back strikeouts put Mossyrock (1-10, 1-10 C2BL) on the ropes. Huguenin stole third, then a pitch later, Onalaska catcher Broden Vickers committed a vital error that allowed Hugenin to score.

The Vikings right-hander proceeded to set the Loggers (1-14, 1-10) down in order in the bottom half to cap a complete game with nine strikeouts. Mossyrock left runners in scoring position in the first and third frames.

Onalaska's best chance was loading the bases with two outs in the fourth, but a caught stealing ended that frame. Vickers and Maddox McKinley each recorded doubles. Meanwhile for the Vikings, Mitchell and Huguenin each had a hit and two stolen bases.

The two sides will meet again on Wednesday in Mossyrock.
