UFC's Freedom 250 Event Receives Prestigious Security Designation
We're a couple of months away from the UFC's event at the White House.
The UFC's Freedom 250 event is set to take place at the White House. The event will be held live from The White House in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, June 14. The UFC has been hyping it up for months now.
"UFC Freedom 250 commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States with a once-in-a-generation celebration of the American fighting spirit. From the Revolution to the Octagon, this historic event will connect fans through cinematic storytelling and unrivaled competition on the world's greatest proving ground," the fighting organization states in an official release.
Tickets are set to be made available on Tuesday.
Ahead of the tickets being made available, the event has received an official, prestigious security designation from Washington, D.C.
UFC 250 gets highest security honor
According to a report from TMZ, the UFC 250 event has been given the highest security designation, similar to the Super Bowl.
"DHS has designated it a SEAR 1 event (like the SB). They take importance, attendance, visibility, and risk assessment into account. For reference, the Kentucky Derby and Indy 500 are SEAR 2, while the Masters is SEAR 3. Lots of federal agencies are involved - security plans are still being put together," TMZ Sports reported.
The official UFC event has received a designation of SEAR 1, which is the highest title there is.
