Cowboys Make Brandon Aubrey Highest-Paid Kicker In NFL History

Brandon Aubrey has been the NFL's best kicker since arriving in the league from the UFL.

Aubrey, who played college soccer, joined the Cowboys in 2023. He had spent two seasons with the Birmingham Stallions. Aubrey has made three Pro Bowls and three All-Pro teams in three seasons.

Now, heading into the 2026 season, Aubrey has been made the highest-paid kicker in NFL history.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news.

Aubrey has agreed to a four-year extension with the Cowboys.

"Brandon Aubrey and the Dallas Cowboys reached agreement today on a deal that will make Aubrey the highest paid kicker in NFL history. The four-year extension makes Aubrey the first kicker to earn $7 million per year and receive $20 million guaranteed, per Todd France and AJ Stevens," he reported.

It's a move well worth it for the Cowboys, as Aubrey has been a huge weapon in the kicking game for three seasons.

The Cowboys will look to take a step forward during the 2026 season and contend for a playoff spot. Dallas had one of the NFL's top offenses in 2025, thanks in part to Aubrey's leg.

Cowboys fans can rest easy knowing that Aubrey isn't going anywhere.
