The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 51.8% from the field and starting all 30 games for the Wolfpack, who finished 21-11 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament last season.

She scored in double figures 14 times, including a career-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting in NC State's 106-84 win at Boston College on Jan. 29.

Trygger was an All-ACC Freshman selection during the 2024-25 season when she averaged 6.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 52.0% from the floor and starting 23 of 34 games.

The 20-year-old Stockholm, Sweden, native, who plays on the Swedish national team, will have two years of college eligibility remaining.

Washington needed a veteran forward after losing eight players, including centers Yulia Grabovskaia (graduation) and Olivia Anderson (transfer).

Aside from standout forward Brynn McGaughy, who earned All-Big Ten Freshman honors last season, the other forwards on 2025-26 roster who are poised to return include freshmen Nina Cain and Daniella McLean, who both redshirted.

Last week, the Huskies picked up Oklahoma State transfer Macey Huard, a 6-2 guard who will be a junior next season.
