Report: More NFL Games Are Coming To YouTube

Get ready, NFL fans - more games are coming to streaming platforms.

While networks like FOX, NBC, CBS and ABC/ESPN continue to own most of the NFL's media rights, that could change in the years to come. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Peacock, YouTube TV and more are all making plays for more NFL games.

Now, according to a report from Front Office Sports, the NFL is in the middle of a negotiation with YouTube, for more games to the streaming giant.

The NFL and YouTube are in "advanced talks" for a five-game package, according to Ryan Glasspiegel.

"Price and duration of the YouTube package were not immediately known, nor was when the games would air. NFL Network's previous package of games primarily consisted of international games that kicked off at 9:30 a.m. ET," he reported.

The NFL is clearly moving toward having more games on streaming platforms

The more the NFL can spread its game deals around, the more money the league will make. And the streaming platforms are very desperate to get in on the action.

YouTube TV already owns the NFL Sunday Ticket package, agreeing in 2023 in a seven-year deal worth $2 billion.

It appears that YouTube is determined to get even more involved with the NFL.
