The Final Boss of Basketball Sneakers: Nike Kobe 10 'What The' Resale Buying Guide

Back in the 2010s, if you were tapped into basketball sneakers, you already knew what time it was when a "What The" colorway dropped. Nike would take multiple colorways from a model, mash them together, and create something that really made you stop and say "what the…" in the best way possible.

Some of the craziest ones came from models like the LeBron 11s and KD 7s, where it looked like every color got thrown on one shoe-and somehow it worked. Kobes had their own run with the "What The" theme too, especially with the 8s, but for me, the pair that really stands out is the Kobe 10 Elite High. That shoe played a big role in getting me into sneakers, and to this day, it's still one of my all-time favorites.

For an unboxing of the Kobe 10 'What The' I have linked an on-court review below.

What to Know About the Kobe 10 Elite High 'What The'

The Kobe 10 "What The" pulls inspiration from multiple colorways like the Rose Gold, Opening Night, USA, Lakers themes, and even the Drill Sergeant look on the toe. It's a full mix of everything that made the Kobe 10 line special.

Personally, I've always been a fan of loud colorways, and mixing that with the high-top design just makes this pair stand out even more. This isn't just a basketball shoe-it's a statement piece.

Are the Kobe 10s Worth It in Today's Game?

Even though today's game leans heavily toward low-top sneakers, the Elite High version still holds its own. The fit, ankle support, and overall performance make it a sleeper option even now. We've still seen NBA players like De'Aaron Fox and DeMar DeRozan bring Kobe highs back on court from time to time, which says a lot about their durability and respect in the game.

Where to Buy the Kobe 10 Elite High 'What The'

Since these dropped back in 2015 and haven't seen a retro, resale is your only option right now. Sites like GOAT, StockX, and Flight Club all have pairs available, but prices aren't cheap.

Most sizes are sitting at $350+ depending on condition and size. It's definitely a hefty price, but for a sneaker this unique and influential, it makes sense.

If Nike ever brings the Kobe 10 back, especially in a "What The" form, it would easily shake up the sneaker game again.
