Letter: Not seeing integrity, honesty and patriotism in Clinton

Having read some of the most astoundingly absurd statements on the editorial pages recently, from eliminating the Second Amendment to Donald Trump wanting NRA members to shoot Hillary Clinton, I am convinced there is some sort of mass insanity setting in across the nation.

From reading newspaper editorials and reports of 150 years ago, media bias certainly always has existed, but one would expect some improvement by now. It is unfortunate the political parties could not have nominated more respectable presidential candidates out of thousands that are out there. Most of the editorials and letters I have read either gloss over or ignore Mrs. Clinton’s shortcomings, and exacerbate those of Mr. Trump.

Mr. Trump may be a terrible communicator, but Mrs. Clinton has been involved in scandals, lies, incompetence and influence peddling even to regimes hostile to U.S. interests, which is verified and well-documented for anyone to research and read. Because of this, I would ask anyone to detail, point by point, exactly what has Mrs. Clinton ever accomplished for the good of the country, and what exactly qualifies her to be president and commander-in-chief.

I value above all integrity, honesty and patriotism in a candidate, and I’m just not seeing that here.
