Letter: Who gets to pay for free school lunches?
In response to the letter by Kimm Minkler, “Parents should enroll students in school lunch program,” (TCH, Aug. 11).
You asked mothers to apply for the free and reduced breakfast and lunches at the school they attend based on their income. I only have one question for you: Who gets to pay for the “free” food?
Why don’t mothers feed their children breakfast at home and pack them lunches? I did. (Sorry, that’s two questions.)
