Letter: Re-elect Larry Haler as state representative

Voters! Are you tired of TV, radio and newspaper pundits telling you how to vote? We are not sheep or lemmings, and we don’t need biased and partisan commentators analyzing the issues and candidates to death.

Several letters recently by voters and citizens in the Herald have outlined virtues and achievements of our elected representative for the 8th District, Pos. 2, Larry Haler. These are not paid voices, but our friends and neighbors, who have seen and experienced the outstanding service we’ve received from this public servant for the past 12 years.

I’ve been very happy with Haler’s representation in Olympia and I stand with voters who have elected him multiple times with overwhelming pluralities. He is open, available and transparent and addresses the needs and cares of his constituents. He is “one of us” and does not compromise his conservative principles and values.

Help keep Benton County the wonderful place we know it is to live, work, raise a family and retire. Send Larry Haler back to the state Legislature to represent the 8th District. He is a true friend of mine. Remember, voting is our patriotic duty. Vote on Aug. 2.

Carlos Leon, Kennewick
