Letter: FBI director plays both sides of street in Clinton probe

With all this blathering about Hillary Clinton’s emails, I think we are missing a couple things in our analysis, so let me clarify.

FBI Director James Comey is a very smart guy. First, he lays out all the evidence and reasons why Hillary should be prosecuted, and then gives some cockamamie excuses why she should not be. He knows that he is not supposed to judge who gets indicted and who does not. His job is just to present the evidence.

So why did he do it? He is a Republican and I assume that a Hillary presidency appalls him. So he lays out all this evidence, which is a great gift to Trump. Then he knows that there will be a big hullabaloo about corruption and the rigged system, again helping Trump. If all this works and Trump is elected president, he appoints a special prosecutor and Hillary gets what she deserves.

Now for a minute, let’s assume that he is wrong and Hillary gets elected. In that eventuality he still wins. He’s a hero for saving Hillary and will be rewarded accordingly. Wow, this guy is smart. He plays both sides of the street.
