Letter: Didier a more true conservative than Newhouse

Recent election ads by Rep. Dan Newhouse tout his across-the-board conservatism. Checking the Conservative Review scorecard, however, shows he scores an “F” because he voted conservatively only 36 percent of the time. I’m sure that rating is just fine for many who don’t really want a conservative, but in my book, it is false advertising.

He is not conservative, though he’d like those who want a conservative to think he is.

The real conservative running for Congress is Clint Didier. Didier may be a bit rough on the edges, but he’s a true conservative, honest and hardworking. He is one who can be trusted, while Newhouse is an establishment Republican, who wants to make up his own record.
