Letter: Larry Haler has experience, integrity and reliability the voters count on

Voters have preferred Republican Larry Haler by an average of 75 percent for 8th District state representative for six straight elections. Why, you say? Because the voters trust him. Larry has the experience, integrity and reliability the voters count on to be our advocate in Olympia.

Haler’s opponent cannot match his 12-year track record of effective representation and political skill in supporting his constituents’ interests. His seniority in the legislature is a boon to his support for higher education, improved family medicine residencies, and securing transportation funds for needed area roads and bridges.

Benton County and the Tri-Cities are growing and dynamic communities which need Haler’s steady, conservative and innovative hand on legislative issues in Olympia. He favors a balanced budget, less spending, limited government, fewer taxes and economic opportunity for small business.

One reason Haler has succeeded in receiving the voters’ overwhelming approval for 12 years is that his public service is open and transparent. Our support for Haler is confirmed by endorsements he receives from law enforcement, firemen, education, business and retail employers and the medical community.

Our community stills needs Larry Haler to “have our back” in Olympia. Vote Aug. 2 to return Larry to the Legislature.
