Letter: Vote to re-elect Larry Haler as state representative

Step back from the contentious presidential campaign and look at the Washington primary election on Aug. 2. Voting for state representative in the 8th District, Pos. 2, we have a candidate with integrity, experience and caring whose legislative work in Olympia for 12 years has always put his constituents’ best interests above political issues.

You know him — he is Larry Haler, a 42-year resident of Richland, former mayor and city councilman for 14 years. In Haler’s service in the House, he has championed common-sense legislation to keep taxes fiscally responsible, to improve community development and business opportunities, to advocate for K-12 and higher education, and promoted public safety on behalf of our police and fire services.
