Letter: Vote for Bill Jenkin for 16th District state representative
Bill Jenkin will be a wonderful state representative for the 16th Legislative District. I have known Bill through his extensive service to our community.
His leadership enabled our Rotary club in Prosser to lead our district in membership gain and foundation giving last year while he was president of the club. He will be the first member of our club and area to be District 5060 governor in 2017-18.
He did a fantastic job as Prosser’s school board president. He also was the founding chairman of Prosser’s Boys and Girls Club, which is so beneficial in keeping our kids safe and on the right path.
His commitment to our economy, education and agriculture are his strengths, as he is involved in all three areas through his four businesses and community service. His experience and leadership will surely be beneficial to our entire legislative district.
He has been honored by our Chamber of Commerce the last three years in receiving, in order, the Volunteer of the Year Award, Distinguished Service Award and the Prosser Outstanding Citizen Award.
