Letter: Great 3 on 3 basketball to be played in Richland
Great 3 on 3 basketball played on the street is the major focus of the See3slam basketball tournament. This community-wide annual event is hosted by TC Sunrise Rotary Club and the City of Richland. The games will be played July 9-10 on George Washington Way between John Dam Plaza and the Richland police station.
Besides great basketball, there will be many activities for the entire family, including music, food vendors and a timeout area for kids. Center Court will feature several fun contests, including a shootoff for a new Subaru automobile. On July 8, former pro player Mike Brown will conduct a kids fundamental clinic at the boat launch at Howard Amon Park.
Sunrise Rotary is an all-volunteer service club. A portion of net proceeds from See3Slam will help restore sight to cataract blind people in Ethiopia. The majority of the funds will support local charities. That’s what Rotary does.
