Letter: Hold Rep. Dan Newhouse accountable, vote for McKinley
Republican Rep. Dan Newhouse of the 4th Congressional District should be held accountable for legislation that gives him farm subsidies and takes food away from the children.
He should be held accountable for legislation to defund our public lands and bankrupt them in order to justify selling them to the highest bidder, including our beloved Columbia Park.
He should be held accountable for supporting Monsanto’s pesticide legislation, allowing the company to continue to harm the land without repercussions, including our beloved $2 billion wine industry.
He should be held accountable for denying climate change and the terrible harm he is doing to our communities by not taking action.
This harmful legislation, or lack of it, is supported by all Republicans and must be stopped and repealed. Time to vote for Democrat Douglas McKinley, who will first “Do No Harm” and only support legislation that will save our children and community from legislative abuse.
