Letter: Dust from wine grape field covers everything

I sympathize totally with Ruth Norman of Pasco (“Smokers prevent me from watching sunset from my yard,” TCH, June 10).

Across the road from me, a new field has been prepared for more wine grapes. When we have a breeze or wind, we are covered with a new layer of fine dust. The county’s answer to me was, “unfortunately that is considered agricultural and we can’t do anything about it.”

Our eyes are full of dirt, breathing for my husband — who has COPD — is a struggle, and our garage looks like nobody has lived here for years. It comes in our front windows and door — but nothing can be done. Any suggestions ?
