Letter: Sales tax proposal should include new ice-making equipment for Toyota Center

I completely agree on the sales tax proposal that will allow for the expansion of the convention center. As like anyone else who agrees with this bill, I think it will prevent people from having to go elsewhere to see a show.

But, one thing that people are not talking about in the Toyota Center/convention center is the ice quality. I, myself am a big Americans fan, but I am also painfully aware that the ice-making equipment is not up to Western Hockey League standards. After all, the equipment is very old and outdated when compared with other arenas.

It would be nice if they add into the proposal that there should be some money to pay for new ice-making equipment.
