Letter: Sign Initiative 1515 to keep locker rooms and public restrooms safe

I am not against transgender people, but I am against laws that endanger our women and children. Will you help protect them and sign the petition repealing the dangerous bathroom bill brought through by Gov. Jay Inslee and the Human Rights Commission? They instituted this law without legislative approval or a vote by the people of Washington.

What is the bathroom bill? It allows for any male who identifies as a female and claims to be transgender to enter and use women’s restrooms or public locker rooms. This affects businesses, gyms, churches and our schools.

We need 325,000 signatures on Initiative 1515 by July 1 to get it on the ballot in November. To sign you must be a registered voter. This petition is not against transgender people, but about preserving privacy and safety from a law that enables criminal behavior. Let’s rally together and send a message to our government. Will you stand up and be counted by collecting signatures to keep our school locker rooms and public restrooms safe?

More information is available at JustWantPrivacy.org. For petitions and voter registrations, please call 509-989-2914.
