Letter: Impressed by community support to restore Purple Heart Memorial
To the individual(s) who destroyed the Purple Heart Memorial in Richland: You must feel so empowered to be able to destroy something that can’t fight back.
I know I am certainly impressed. I am impressed by the support of the community to restore the memorial. I am impressed by the men and women who keep this country free. I am impressed that even though community members and soldiers work to make this country a better place, they know not all will appreciate their efforts.
Next time you wish to destroy something, keep in mind your freedom was earned by some who paid the ultimate price. Perhaps, at some point, doing something positive with that freedom will cross your mind.
