Letter: Why vote? Because one of them will win
With the upcoming elections, it has been reported many people will skip voting. The reasoning seems to be, they don’t like either of the choices.
The obvious reason for voting is — though you don’t like either of the choices — one of them will win. The obvious reason for voting is selecting the one candidate who you feel will cause the least amount of harm to our country.
One of the candidates says they will give free college tuition. Not only free tuition, but the list goes on and on as to what they will give away. Who do they think will pay the bill, the Tooth Fairy? One will enlarge socialism. One makes a lot of noise but doesn’t say what they will do to make America great again. I still think America is great; we only need to return to the state of one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.
If one skips voting because they don’t like either of the candidates, you can be sure one of them will win. If a person doesn’t vote, they will have no grounds for complaining about who wins.
