Letter: Considerate citizens went above and beyond to help traveler in need
As an almost former Tri-Citizen, I will miss a great community here.
Recently, while doing errands before leaving town, I made a transaction at Gesa. Unfortunately, I left my driver’s license in the tube. I realized this later and returned to the bank in a panic. The teller looked everywhere, but it was not found.
She reached out to the person who had made a transaction after me, and was told that this kind woman had taken the time to mail it to me. That was awesome! Except ... I was leaving at 6 a.m. and needed it for my flight.
I called the Kennewick post office, and they directed me to the Pasco office. The supervisor, Dana, went above and beyond to help search through hundreds of letters. The mail had to leave. She contacted the Spokane office for assistance if it was misaddressed, but it was not.
I did manage to make it on the flight with alternate ID, and my license arrived the next day in the mail, where my neighbor collected and forwarded it to me.
What other community would I find such helpful, concerned, considerate and caring citizens? Thank you all so very much!
