Letter: Can’t believe man was arrested for believing he was a police officer

In response to the police department for arresting a man who thought he was a police officer: Who are we to be discriminatory?

This man truly believed he was a police officer. In fact, it is probable that he has believed he was a police officer since he was a little boy. He was enforcing the law and even was dressed like an officer, complete with a gun. I can’t believe he was arrested for believing he was something he wasn’t.

Isn’t there someplace he could fulfill his belief of being a police officer, such as a security guard in the schools or a department store? Think about it, it’s the only right thing to do.
