Letter: Medical insurance companies crushing the life out of senior citizens
I was reading in the Herald recently that the medical insurance companies want to jack up their rates. No kidding? This evil system run by evil human viruses is designed to crush the life out of senior citizens and children alike. You can go into debt trying to pay out-of-pocket medical expenses. It’s a joke, but not funny!
Recently, I got a drug prescription plan for my disabled mother with COPD. I felt good about it until I got a nasty gram from Uncle Sam. It said Dear Mom, we must charge you a penalty fee on top of your premium for not having an approved plan the past 10 years. Shame on you for paying for your meds out of pocket all those years.
Time to sing the Revolution song and clean out Congress and start over. Didn’t they recently vote themselves another raise? Doh! As Homer Simpson would say right now.
