Letter: Thanks to Carson Kolzig Foundation for helping parents overcome challenges
April was Autism Awareness month, and I would like people to really think about parents like us who live with autism daily. The things most parents find challenging can seem nearly impossible, like finding a babysitter, going to the movies or even a grocery store.
I would like to express gratitude to some great people at the Responding to Autism Center where we have turned for help, and thanks to Olie Kolzig and the Carson Kolzig Foundation. To many of us parents who grapple with autism daily, this is a prayer answered.
Best of all are the skills we have learned and the confidence gained. They have helped us through those “impossible” things, which are still challenging, but possible. If my small words of gratitude mean anything, please consider helping other parents like us by donating, even a little bit, to the Carson Kolzig Foundation.
