Letter: No more sales taxes

Pasco and Kennewick want to raise sales taxes to build an aquatic center in Pasco, and Kennewick wants to add on at the Three Rivers campus.

People, they are taxing us to death. We were just taxed for schools. We have too many people on fixed incomes, Social Security and disabled vets. People on Social Security didn’t even get a cost of living raise.

If the cities want to build an aquatic center and add on to the Three Rivers campus, take out a loan like we have to if we add on to our homes. Get a loan and build it. We shouldn’t have to pay for something a lot of us will never use.
