Letter: East side of state should secede from west
Could the east side of the state be an unwanted stepchild of the west side? The west (wet) side of the state spends billions of dollars on an uncompleted tunnel while our blue bridge stands rusting, in need of painting.
Perhaps this side of the mountains should secede from the wet side. The crest of the Cascade range would be a good dividing line. That way the other side couldn’t move the boundary stakes. This action has been proposed before but nothing ever done about it.
How about now? Anyone interested in getting the ball rolling?
