Letter: Plight of trees in Columbia Park is disturbing

The plight of the trees in Columbia Park is alarming. What the wind doesn’t bring them down, the park service cuts them down at an alarming rate.

But no new ones are planted. Why is this?

The Audubon trail looks especially bare as they cut down trees and brush. No more do you hear the quail and the pheasant. Their habitat is gone.

It looks less like a park each year. What’s next, condos?

Why is this being allowed to happen? It is a concern that needs to be addressed very soon.
