Letter: Gesa Carousel of Dreams is debt-free

It’s an honor to share with you that the Gesa Carousel of Dreams is debt-free.

The Three Rivers Carousel Foundation wants to thank everyone who was ever involved in this project.

During the last 18 months the Gesa Carousel of Dreams has celebrated 275,000 riders, 500 events in the events room and hundreds of partnerships with community nonprofits — all while operating with a predominantly volunteer staff. We kept our promise of no more taxpayer dollars.

This is a clinic on what we can accomplish when we dream forward, set clear and concise goals, share these goals with the community, stay focused on those goals and have the dedicated people to make them happen. Now, the plan is to set up a trust that will ensure the long-term success of this project for our children’s children.

Please accept our heartfelt thank you and come join us from 5 to 7 p.m. April 15 for a community party, or become a volunteer at the carousel or even join our board.
