Letter: A revolution has started at the ballot box

I don’t think that many people are aware that a revolution has started. We are fighting with ballots rather than bullets, thank God, but it is a revolution nonetheless. The people are tired of the career politicians’ lies and their inability or unwillingness to solve the many problems facing our nation. They see crony capitalism thwarting the will and needs of the people.

Changing parties has not helped. They realize that their children’s future has been mortgaged with the unconscionable national debt. They see our culture slipping away as hordes of foreigners flood our shores. They know that America is no longer the world’s leader and that this omission has resulted in the misery of millions of people and our security being imperiled. The nation’s health care has gotten worse rather than better under Obamacare. Our veterans and the homeless are not being cared for. Our Social Security is not a lock box, but rather a Ponzi scheme.

So the revolt is on its way, and so far, the people and Trump have been winning while the establishment politicos and the sycophantic media have been losing. Stay tuned; it will get interesting.

Let’s pray that the people win, as they usually do.

Jim Watkins, Pasco
