Letter: Use our votes to change the two-party system
Our Democrat and Republican parties’ leading candidates for president are playing the “The Game” — dividing us by race, religion, gun ownership, rich versus poor and on and on. Our wealth has increased dramatically over my life and so has our military power. We have started wars we shouldn’t have and wasted our most valuable resources — our youth.
We have implemented government laws and programs that some see as divisive and others see as racist or pandering to minorities and poor to gain their vote. The negative list goes on and yet the world still looks to us for leadership. People from around the world still want to come to America and be Americans.
If our country is really in such bad shape there is only one constant, the entrenched two-party system. Let’s show the world we the people know it is the problem and use our votes in any way possible to change that system.
