Letter: Kennewick councilman’s Facebook meme was misleading

Misleading journalism cannot happen without notice. The March 26 Facebook meme of Bernie Sanders on the front page is misleading. Bernie says love will overcome hate, nothing about building walls.

I’m glad you didn’t give Bob Parks more space to spread his hatefulness. Yes he is entitled to his opinion, but he also represents Kennewick as a city councilman and my address indicates Kennewick, I feel the shame. I hope the Tri-City Herald can make amends to the community for misleading information.

Bernie had 7,000 people in Yakima cheering him on and 10,000 in Portland, a city much bigger than Yakima. Let the citizens make the choice, not a misleading headline.

Sheryl L. Cousineau, Kennewick
