Letter: Find investors, not taxes, to pay for aquatics center

No sales taxes for an aquatics center. The people have spoken about not wanting to pay more sales taxes for an aquatics center. It has failed twice before.

We don’t want to keep paying taxes for something that should be owned by a investment group. That’s why if more money is needed to keep up the maintenance, we won’t have to keep paying more sales taxes.

There are too many people on fixed incomes who can’t afford more taxes. We just passed taxes for all the school levies, but disabled vets and retired people on Social Security didn’t even get a cost-of-living raise.

So, Mr. Martinez, you should look at finding investors to help you build your aquatisc center. So when it comes up for us to vote on it vote no. I live in Richland and I don’t want to pay any more sales taxes on something a lot of people don’t want.
