Letter: Mansperger op-ed was a fact-free article
A very interesting op-ed by Mark Mansperger (“Fascism threatens America,” Jan. 31). One of the most fact-free articles I have ever read!
I did some research about the so-called “business plot” to take over the government. An editorial by the New York Times of the day basically said that it probably was never real. Just someone wanting attention, and no one was ever charged with anything.
Mr. Mansperger spent the majority of the article just calling people names and slinging mud-like terms at people and groups he doesn’t like. That’s one of the favorite tactics when you have nothing to say, as in this case. And, respectfully, you actually published this?
