Letter: Senate refusal to fulfill constitutional responsibility is irresponsible

If we are to be a country governed by law, we must have a functioning Supreme Court.

Mitch McConnell’s apparent refusal to allow the Senate to fulfill its constitutional responsibility to fill the vacancy is irresponsible (political) to say the least.

But given the recent record for Congress actually doing its job, it is not surprising.
