Letter: Remember voting records of Klippert, Haler when next election rolls around

I hope voters in the 8th Legislative District are following the voting records of our two socially regressive, insensitive and oppressive-toward-women House members in the current legislative session. I hope they will remember their votes when the next election comes around.

The TCH reported that they have recently voted against amending and enhancing the state’s equal pay act, reasonable accommodation for pregnancy, childbirth or related health issues, closing the educational opportunity gap, and enacting the Washington Voter’s Rights Act.

I hope enlightened and qualified individuals will decide to run against Brad Klippert and Larry Haler when they run for re-election. They don’t deserve it. They already voted against the state transportation package that included many badly needed infrastructure projects for our region.

Votes have consequences and these two legislators are an embarrassment to a growing, progressive community.
