Letter: Still time to send ballot on Kennewick school levy
If you haven’t sent in your ballot to vote yes for the Kennewick School District levy, you still have some time.
Remember that Levy = Learning, and levy funds are used to bridge the gap between state and federal funding.
All money collected through the levy goes directly towards day-to-day operations such as student learning and lower class sizes, buying books and new curriculum, hiring teachers and educational assistants, instructional support, student health and safety (counselors, security officers, school resource officers), student athletics, support for art, music, and physical education programs, special education support, transportation, and continuing to provide the education that you are used to your child getting in Kennewick.
Mail that ballot in today! It is due by Feb. 9!
Chad Foltz, Kennewick
