Letter: Vote yes for Kennewick school levy to preserve student activities
As a middle school principal in Kennewick, I often enjoy watching my students explore their interests and develop their talents.
Students are able to participate in the typical athletic programs, but they can also choose from a wide variety of clubs. We offer math club, art club and book club. Students arrive at 7 a.m. to participate in jazz band.
We have a SWAT club — students with awesome technology — and even a knitting club. Our next drama club production is March 3 and all are welcome to attend.
These activities are supported primarily by the Kennewick School District levy. This is a replacement levy, not a new tax. Please vote yes in support of the levy and our students. Thank you.
