Letter: Thanks to caring butcher during time of anguish
Caring neighborhood grocery stores still exist. They just look different.
Recently, we were told that our loving lab needed to be put down. Arrangements were made, and for a last meal, we wanted to give her a full T-bone steak. My wife stopped by our local Yokes to get the steak.
The butcher must have recognized her anguish and asked what was wrong. After learning of the nature of the visit, he went in back, cut a fresh T-bone, wrapped it and gave it to her. No charge. Thanks Yokes!
Jenna loved it, and we are thankful for having such a great store with personality in our neighborhood. Your kindness will obviously be rewarded with our continued patronage.
