Letter: Please vote yes on Pasco school levy

As a proud teacher of Pasco schools, I am writing to ask you to please vote yes on the upcoming levy.

I know the concerns about giving money to the Pasco School District, as we were all let down with disappointment after learning what was truly going on during the strike. However, some changes have been made within the district and school board which have given me and other teachers hope.

These changes were made due to teachers, parents, and community members standing strong together. We can do it again, if necessary.

The levy money is 65 percent for teaching and learning, 27 percent for support services, and 8 percent for activities and athletics. These are things your children need. Please consider your children, your friends’ children, and your neighbors’ children when voting.

April Miller, Pasco teacher, Richland
