Letter: 97 years and still voting yes for schools

Imagine how schools have changed since my one-room country schoolhouse for grades 1-8, where there was a fireplace for heat and a stable for horses. We helped the younger students and challenged the older students with everyone cooperatively learning together.

The need for help has not changed and now the Kennewick School District again requests our support to pass the levy on Feb. 9.

Every child deserves a free education and an opportunity to learn, to reach those dreams that only come through an education. I am 97 years old and I am again as always voting yes for schools.
