Letter: U.S. cannot afford to take care of every single immigrant

Response to Michael J. Nordsten’s Dec. 31 letter, “Closed borders not what this country stands for.”

First of all, Donald Trump is not an embarrassment. We can’t even help our veterans who have put their lives on the line for this country. The government has turned their back on them. All the government has done is make the richer get richer and the poor get poorer.

Trump has said repeatedly, temporary close the borders. The United States cannot afford to take care of every single immigrant from all corners of the world. We have to take care of our own. To those people who want the United States to bring in every immigrant to our country, the government will take your house and everything you have and leave the American to die. The government does not care about the American people, just themselves and the rich.

Trump has money and is not taking money from the rich. People don’t like him because of this. This country is run by the rich, who control the government, not the American people.
