Letter: Thanks to volunteers and supporters of Project Linus
The Tri-Cities Chapter of Project Linus would like to thank our many volunteers (blanketeers!) and supporters. We gave out 2,906 blankets in 2015, and more than 25,000 in the last 13 years.
Our mission is to provide the comfort of a blanket to children in traumatic situations, due to illness, emergency situations, or other challenging events. Our blankets are distributed locally through Child Development Center, Lutheran Family Services, Children’s Services, SARC, Royal Family Kids Camp, Red Cross, Kadlec and Trios hospitals, first responders, hospice agencies and more.
Our volunteers donate countless hours creating beautiful quilts, afghans and fleece blankets so that kids can have a warm hug. We would also like to thank Battelle, Living Victoriously Ministries, and URS Energy for grants that support our mission, allowing us to purchase supplies and to send blankets to others (e.g., after the Marysville shootings). Thanks also to Battelle and the Richland Public Library for providing space for monthly “work parties.”

Thank you to all in the Tri-Cities who support us.
Linda Porter, Chapter Coordinator, Pasco
