Letter: Regarding religion, it’s freedom or tyranny
We are eager to condemn other nations about religious persecution. We condemn them for not allowing Christians to practice their religion and adhere to their codes of conduct. We say we abhor that they are required to follow the dictates of their country regardless of the consequences.
Then we come to our country. We are critical of anyone who practices their faith and endeavor to force upon them the will of the government and minority. Which way do you want it, religious freedom or forced compliance to non-religious ideals?
You can’t have it both ways. Either you believe in freedom or tyranny.
