Letter: Refugee crisis bringing worst out of America

This has been a real eye opener of America, at her worst. The red state fear-mongers should re-read Matthew, “the least of my brethren.” His words embody the simple golden rule, which we should all adhere to.

If we’re going to call ourselves Christians, a Christian nation, then we’d better act like followers of Christ. Stop being afraid.

I am so proud of our governor, Jay Inslee, and President Obama and the voters who placed them in office. If we are slain in our beds or at the mall, it won’t be our doing for welcoming and helping refugees of war, it will be the radical killers who try to believe in their religion.

Ask yourself, what would Christ do? Act accordingly.
