Letter: Community needs to offer shelter and meals for veterans
What happens to veterans after they serve our country? This Veterans Day there were many veterans who are homeless.
When they return home many veterans suffer from mental and physical disabilities that prevent them from working.
Many restaurants offer free meals to veterans on Veterans Day. What about the other 364 days out of the year? Many veterans are going hungry. We as a community need to offer shelters and meals for veterans everyday.
These veterans didn’t serve our country one day out of the year, so we should offer veterans more than one day out of the year.
