Letter: Thanks for act of kindness hauling Christmas tree

Last week my wife and I were out shopping for a Christmas tree. We found what we wanted and made our way to the checkout register, large box in tow.

An assistant at the store offered to bring the box outside, so I pulled our car up near the entrance. Unfortunately the box was too big for our trunk or backseat, so I asked the assistant to please take the box back inside and I would return after borrowing a larger vehicle from a friend.

At seeing our situation a woman named Chris Gilmore came over and offered to follow us home and carry the tree in her SUV. We greatly appreciate Chris’ act of kindness and look forward to paying it forward. Thank you, Chris.
