Letter: Are partial-birth abortions humane or diabolical?
Partial-birth abortion is a method of late-term abortion that results in death and intact removal of a fetus. Is this method of abortion humane or diabolical?
Though partial-birth abortions have been illegal since 2008, there is still argument over the matter. Some say it is no more or no less humane than putting a puppy down, while others strongly advocate for the lives of unborn children. The fact of the matter is, in 2011 there were 1.07 million abortions in the U.S. alone. Not all of which were partial birth of course.
Abortion is a simple, inexpensive and anonymous way of throwing your “inconvenience” away. There is much talk about social rights, such as rights for women and minorities, but for some strange reason, the life of a child can be thrown away at the convenience of a woman, because it is her “right.” Forget the politics of the matter and try to comprehend the hypocrisy that fills this heated topic.
Is it right? Or is it wrong?
