Letter: Thanks for the memories with Percy’s of Kennewick
On Nov. 1, I closed Percy’s of Kennewick, which has been a part of downtown Kennewick since (roughly) 1957. For the last 10 years I was the fourth owner, which I am extremely proud of.
I am not sure of the future of it now. I truly hope that if someone reopens it under that name they understand its history.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people for the continued success of a business that thrived with longevity and a wholesome reputation: Robyn Walters, Bev Goodnight (Butterus), Wedo Hernandez, and Trisha Haynes, you made coming to work some of the best days of my career there.
I want to thank each and every client and friend that walked through that door and supported this business. The love and support has been fantastic and appreciated, especially after I made the decision to walk away from an icon. Percy’s and the downtown had been my home for the last 22 years.
Thank you again to everyone. You are appreciated in more ways than you could ever imagine. Thank you for the memories Percy’s and downtown, it won’t be the same without me.
Trigg L. Bell, Kennewick
